Terms and Conditions

We kindly and respectfully ask that you take the necessary time to thoroughly and carefully read through and review our complete and full terms and conditions in detail, ensuring you fully understand them, before proceeding with your important decision to make a booking with us.


 


📄 TERMS & CONDITIONS – MCR MARQUEE HIRE

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions form the agreement between you (“the Customer”) and MCR Marquee Hire.

By confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


2. Booking Fee & Payment Terms

A £70 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your event date.

The booking fee must be paid within 48 hours of booking.
If the booking fee is not received within this time, the date will be released and the booking cancelled.

The booking fee will be deducted from your final balance.

The remaining balance is due in cash on the day of setup, prior to installation.


3. Hire Period

Our hire periods are as follows:

  • Heavy duty marquees – 24 hour hire 

  • Party tents – 12 hour hire 

Extended hire may be available by prior agreement and may incur an additional charge.

All equipment must be ready for collection at the agreed time.


4. Cancellations

All booking fees are non-refundable.

If you need to cancel your booking:

  • More than 14 days before the event – no further charges will apply

  • Between 7 and 14 days before the event – 50% of the remaining balance may be charged

  • Less than 48 hours before the event – the full hire cost may be charged


5. Date Changes

One date change may be permitted subject to availability and sufficient notice.


6. Delivery, Setup & Collection

Delivery, setup and pack down times will be arranged in advance.

The customer must ensure:

  • Clear and suitable access to the setup area

  • Adequate space for the marquee size booked

  • The area is free from obstacles, furniture and waste

Additional charges may apply where access is difficult, involves stairs, or requires long-distance carrying.

We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access or circumstances beyond our control.


7. Space & Ground Requirements

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure:

  • Accurate measurements are provided

  • The ground is level and suitable for installation

  • There is sufficient space for the marquee and anchoring

Grass is the preferred surface for installation.

We are not responsible if the marquee cannot be installed due to insufficient space or unsuitable ground.


8. Equipment Responsibility & Damage

All hired equipment remains the property of MCR Marquee Hire.

The customer is responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery until collection.

Charges will be made for:

  • Damage

  • Loss or theft

  • Excessive cleaning

  • Stains, burns, or misuse


9. Safety

The following are strictly prohibited inside or near the marquee:

  • Naked flames or candles

  • BBQs or cooking equipment

  • Fire pits

  • Fireworks

  • Heaters not supplied by MCR Marquee Hire

Nothing may be attached to the marquee structure.


10. Weather Conditions

Our marquees are suitable for normal UK weather conditions.

In extreme weather or unsafe conditions, we reserve the right to:

  • Delay installation

  • Re-schedule

  • Refuse setup if safety is at risk

This decision is final and made in the interest of health & safety


11. Parking & Access

Suitable parking must be available close to the setup area.

Where parking charges apply, these will be added to the final balance.


12. Liability

MCR Marquee Hire accepts no responsibility for:

  • Injury to persons

  • Damage to property

  • Loss of personal belongings during the hire period.

All equipment must be used safely and for its intended purpose.


13. Refund Policy

Refunds are only considered if we are unable to provide the booked service due to our own fault.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Bad weather

  • Change of mind

  • Venue restrictions

  • Incorrect measurements provided by the customer


14. Data Protection

All personal information is handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.


15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
